Two vultures Released After Successful Treatment in Dhakuakhana

In a heartening conservation effort, two vultures (locally known as Shagun), which were critically ill due to food poisoning, were successfully treated and released into the wild on Thursday.

The two vultures were rescued from Borpukhuri area in Bantou village, 1 No. Bantou. They were brought to the Dhakuakhana State Veterinary Hospital, where they received treatment for three days under the care of Dr. Rupam Gogoi and the dedicated hospital staff.

Notably, four such endangered vultures were rescued in total. While two were released earlier after recovery, the remaining two were set free today.

The vulture is a highly endangered species, and such successful rescue and rehabilitation efforts have been widely appreciated by nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. The role of the veterinary doctors and staff has been highly praised for their timely intervention and commitment towards wildlife conservation.
