Kaziranga National Park Stops Elephant Safari for 2025-26 Season

13

The 2025-26 tourism season at the iconic Kaziranga National Park is nearing its end, with the park authorities announcing the closure of Elephant Safari from Thursday.

In an official notification, the Kaziranga National Park administration stated that the decision to halt elephant safaris has been taken in view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions.

Till now, tourists were enjoying elephant safaris in the Kohora range using departmental elephants and in the Bagori range using privately owned elephants.

However, the Jeep Safari will continue as usual for tourists.

This seasonal closure is a routine measure taken by the park authorities towards the end of the tourism season to ensure the safety of visitors and animals amid changing weather patterns.
