Two Notorious Thieves Arrested by Basistha Police
Basistha Police have achieved a major breakthrough by arresting two notorious thieves involved in several theft cases in the city.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Majum Ali (resident of Dhubri) and Mohammad Saman Ali (resident of Chaygaon).
During the operation, police recovered a large quantity of stolen silver ornaments and tools used in committing thefts.
The duo is believed to be involved in the daring theft at a jewellery shop in Beltola on April 26, where silver items were looted. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
Police suspect that both accused were also involved in multiple other theft cases across Guwahati. Further investigation is underway.
