Self-defence workshop for girls held in Guwahati

To empower with self-defence techniques among their students, Modern English School, Kahilipara conducted an empowering self-defence workshop at the school premises, specially designed for girls. This proactive initiative aimed to equip the young female students with essential self-defence skills and techniques, fostering their confidence and safety. Timed strategically before Independence Day, the workshop encouraged a sense of empowerment and freedom.

The workshop, led by expert trainers, namely Ms. Sabnam Begum, Taekwondo Coach, & Fitness Trainer and Neelam Jyoti Kalita, Taekwondo Coach, DSYW, covered a range of practical self-defence manoeuvres, situational awareness, and strategies for handling potential unsafe scenarios. Students from classes 6 to 12 enthusiastically participated in hands-on training, including physical exercises, self-defence simulations, and informative discussions.

Empowering girls with self-defence abilities ensures their safety and instils a sense of self-assuredness and strength.
