Section 144 imposed in Kaziranga in the wake of Uruka
The Golaghat district administration has imposed Section 144 in Kaziranga National Park. The administration has issued a statement saying that the public cannot fish in river or reservoir in the Kaziranga National Park on the occasion of Magh Bihu. It is worth mentioning that every year, on the day of Uruka in Maghbihu, there was a conflict between the people and the forest department over the hunting of fish in Kaziranga. The district administration has taken this decision so that such a situation does not arise this time.
