Sarma says July, Pegu says August | Confusion continues regarding Assam Board Exams

Guwahati, June 10 (NKTV): Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on June 08 had announced that the HSLC and HSSLC examinations in the state are likely to be conducted in between August 01 and August 15 (Read News Here).

Amidst ongoing confusion regarding the board examinations in the state, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the examinations shall be conducted between July 15 and July 20. “Exams shall be conducted for either one or two days. Male and female students shall sit in the exams separately” Sarma said adding that the examinations shall be cancelled if the Covid positivity rate does not come down to two per cent.

Meanwhile, AASU has stated that decision has to be in favour of student keeping in mind their health as well as academic career.
