Delhi athletes who win gold medal at Tokyo Olympics to get ₹3 crore award
Guwahati, July 10 (NKTV):The Government of Delhi has announced that athletes from Delhi who win a gold in Tokyo Olympics will be awarded with ₹3 crore. Delhi government will also give ₹2 crore for silver medalists and ₹1 crore for those who win a bronze medal.
The government will also reward the coaches of medal-winning athletes with ₹10 lakh. Four athletes from Delhi will compete in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said “Preparations are in full swing for Delhi to birth future Olympians and we are ensuring that no stone is left unturned to build a world-class Sports University. Delhi Sports University will work to prepare those sportspersons who will win medals for the country in the Olympic Games.”
