CM Sarma visits ailing Birubala Rabha, provides financial assistance
Guwahati, July 10 (NKTV): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today visited Assam’s crusader against witchcraft Padma Shri Birubala Rabha and took stock of her health. The CM also handed over a cheque of one lakh rupees for her treatment.
It may be mentioned here that Birubala Rabha’s health condition had been deteriorating for a while now.
“Through Mission Birubala, she has saved many lives” Sarma said.
“Handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh from CM’s Relief Fund as an aid for her treatment. We pray for her speedy recovery so that she resumes her tirade against the menace of superstition” stated the CM in a post on Twitter.
Sarma was accompanied by Minister Bimal Borah and RHAC Chief Executive Member Tankeswar Rabha during his visit.
