ACA Unveils One of India’s Largest Indoor Cricket Facilities in North Guwahati

The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has further strengthened the state’s cricket infrastructure with the inauguration of one of India’s largest indoor cricket facilities at the ACA Cricket Academy in Fulung, North Guwahati.

The facility was inaugurated by BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia in the presence of ACA Secretary Sanatan Das, Treasurer Anupam Deka, Apex Council Member Mukutananda Bhattacharjya and other officials.

Spread across around 17,000 square feet, the new indoor facility features nine cricket wickets, including four spin wickets and five seam wickets. The wickets are equipped with imported Uniturf playing surfaces, allowing cricketers to train under different playing conditions.

The facility also includes separate changing rooms for male and female players, with ice bath facilities available in both. A dedicated 1,500-square-foot gymnasium has been set up along with recovery and wellness facilities, including a sauna and steam room.

A dedicated physiotherapy unit has also been incorporated to provide players with rehabilitation, injury management and recovery support.

Speaking at the inauguration, Devajit Saikia said the development of modern cricket infrastructure is crucial to creating the right environment for players to train, develop and progress.

He expressed confidence that the new facility would provide valuable support to the next generation of cricketers from Assam and contribute to their long-term development.

The indoor facility will allow uninterrupted training throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions. It is also expected to expand the ACA Cricket Academy’s ability to conduct structured training programmes and help players improve their skills, fitness and overall preparedness for higher-level competitive cricket.
