The India Post’s ‘Dak Chaupal’ service has been launched at the Kohora Post Office in Kaziranga. The initiative aims to create awareness among rural residents about various schemes and services offered by the Department of Posts.
As part of the initiative, mobile vans will travel to remote corners of villages to spread awareness and inform people about the various postal services and schemes available to them.
The service was flagged off in Kaziranga by Shri Sachin Kishore, Chief Postmaster General of the Assam Circle of the Department of Posts. Notably, Kaziranga, under the Sivasagar Division, has become the first location in Assam to launch this service.
