The 2nd Edition of the North East Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicle Expo (NEREVE 2025), organised by the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) in association with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), was inaugurated today at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati. The three-day expo brings together leading companies, innovators, policymakers, and startups to accelerate clean energy adoption in the Northeast.
Hon’ble Minister Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary, who inaugurated the event, lauded FINER for creating a platform that aligns with India’s green growth agenda. He highlighted the Northeast’s strategic role in renewable energy development and encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage emerging opportunities in solar, wind, hydro, and electric mobility.

In his opening address, Mr. Bajrang Lohia, President, FINER, shared India’s significant renewable energy achievements, with total installed RE capacity crossing 505 GW, and noted the sharp rise in EV adoption, with passenger EV sales doubling in 2025. He said through NEREVE 2025, FINER aims to strengthen collaboration, showcase innovations, and promote sustainable industrial growth in the region.
Representatives from DPIIT addressed the gathering and outlined key Government of India schemes that support clean energy, EV manufacturing, and industrial advancement in the Northeast. They emphasised the importance of building a strong ecosystem for startups and MSMEs in the sector.
Delivering the Vote of Thanks, Mr. Bhaskar Kakoty, Chair, NEREVE, appreciated the support of the Hon’ble Minister, DPIIT, IOCL, exhibitors, and participants, and reiterated FINER’s commitment to promoting a green and resilient energy future for the Northeast.
NEREVE is FINER’s flagship initiative to promote renewable energy, electric vehicles, and sustainable technologies in the Northeast. The expo features product showcases, technical sessions, demonstrations, and industry networking opportunities from 21st to 23rd November 2025, 11 AM to 8 PM at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati.
