WHO suspends UN supply of Covaxin vaccine
The World Health Organisation has suspended supplies of the Covaxin vaccine through United Nations agencies. The Covaxin Covid-19 vaccine has been produced by Indian manufacturing company Bharat Biotech.
However, WHO has cleared that vaccine is effective and there are no safety concerns. According to reports, the suspension is to allow the manufacturer to upgrade facilities and address deficiencies found in an inspection.
