Illegal timber seized in Guwahati
Guwahati, July 16 (NKTV): A team of Forest Department today morning seized two trucks loaded with timber on the National Highway at Beharbari in Guwahati.
Officials of the Forest Department informed that the two trucks, with registration numbers AS 01 CC 2097 and AS 25 AC 3400, could not produce any document for transporting the timber
The trucks were reportedly transporting timber from the Assam-Meghalaya border area.
The seized timber is estimated to be of worth one lakh rupees.
