Handique Girls’ College declared as a micro containment zone by Guwahati Administration

Amid the Omicron variant scare in the country, Guwahati’s Handique Girls’ College has been declared as a micro containment zone by the Kamrup (Metro) administration after Covid-19 cases were reported in the college premises.

The district administration issued a notice saying “In view of the detection of Covid-19 positive cases among students and staff of Handique Girls’ College, the Kamrup (Metro) District Administration has, vide order no. DDMA K(M)20/2021/505 dated 01/12/2021 to December 7, 2021. The movement of any unauthorized individuals and vehicles within the campus area is prohibited. In view of this, all physical classes are suspended for the notified period and sessional exams postponed until further notice. All departments are asked to move their classes online. The notification issued will come into force from the 1st of December.
