Rs 2.5 lakh each to all widows of Assam who lost their husbands to Covid-19
Guwahati, July 11 (NKTV): As decided by the Government of Assam earlier to provide a one-time financial assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh each to all widows of the state who lost their husbands to Covid-19, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma handed over 176 cheques today.
The remaining cheques shall be given by Guardian Ministers.
“We truly hope this support helps the affected families” the CM said at the function organised in Guwahati today.
The scheme aims to support 883 widows of the state.
