Social Welfare Dept. employee suspended over corruption charges
Guwahati, June 15 (NKTV): An employee of the Social Welfare Department in Kamrup district has reported been suspended over corruption charges. The employee, Mousumi Barman, was serving as an LDA and has been suspended for accepting bribe on Tuesday.
As per sources, Mousumi Barman has been allegedly claiming money in the name of releasing funds for disability schemes.
Barman had reportedly demanded huge amount of money from a young adult named Rituraj Borah over phone.
Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed to the Director of Social Welfare against Barman.
