Robin Hood Army Guwahati Gears Up for Impactful Independence Day Drives

The Robin Hood Army Guwahati — part of the global Robin Hood Army network operating in 406 cities across 11 countries — is gearing up to mark the 78th Independence Day with a special community-driven initiative: #MissionSANKALP78.

Known for its zero-fund, volunteer-led model, the Robin Hood Army works to combat food waste, empower street children, and facilitate school admissions for those in need. The group runs entirely without monetary donations, instead powered by the dedication of volunteers from diverse backgrounds — from homemakers and students to working professionals and retired citizens. This innovative approach has even been featured as a Harvard Business School case study.

Through #MissionSANKALP78, the Guwahati chapter aims not only to distribute rations and essential items to underserved citizens but also to revitalize community spaces — creating an environment of empowerment that lasts well beyond Independence Day.
