Punjab: Govt Office to function only for 6 hours due to power crisis

Guwahati, July 2 (NKTV): The Government of Punjab have announced that due to the power shortage in the state, government offices will function from 8 am to 2 pm from Friday untill further orders. Currently, the state of Punjab has been facing “unprecedented power shortage” due to high temperatures in the northern region of India.

The state government has also taken decision to cut down power supply to high energy-consuming industries with immediate effect, to save crops and ease the domestic power situation in Punjab.

Chief minister Amrinder Singh have also urged the power department to call off their stir which have made the sitaution more worse in the state and helped to aggravated the crisis.
