PM Modi, UK PM Keir Starmer Hold Talks in Mumbai to Deepen India-UK Strategic Ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held wide-ranging talks with his British counterpart Keir Starmer in Mumbai today. The meeting focused on boosting the India-UK ties in areas of trade, defence and security and critical technology. Later in the day, both the Prime Ministers will attend the CEO Forum and will engage with businesses and industry leaders on opportunities presented by the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Starmer will also participate in the 6th edition of the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai and deliver keynote addresses today.
Earlier yesterday, Starmer held a series of wide-ranging interactions in Mumbai. He met with business leaders and described the India-UK trade partnership as really important. Speaking at an interaction with industry representatives, he said, This is the biggest trade mission that the United Kingdom has ever sent to India.
