Guwahati, June 15 (NKTV): The Government of Assam today announced new Covid SOP for the state that will be in effect till June 22. As per the new SOP, inter-district movement movement in the state shall remain on hold till 5:00 AM of June 22.
Curfew in Guwahati shall commence from 2:00 PM instead of the earlier 1:00 PM. Curfew hours in the districts of South Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Charaideo shall start from 5:00 PM; shops and commercial entities shall remain open till 4:00 PM in these districts. The time for closing shops and commercial entities in other districts is 12 noon.
All educational institutions shall remain closed until further notice.
If the situation does not come under control within June 21, strict measures shall be implemented in the districts of Cachar, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur and Nagaon.
A maximum of 10 people can participate in religious ceremonies and marriages.
Pregnant women and employees whose children are below five years of age along with specially abled employees may work for home.
