Modi Slams TMC Over Corruption, Violence in Fiery Alipurduar Address

20

Addressing a public rally in Alipurduar, West Bengal, on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on Pakistan’s terror policies and the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led state government. He praised India’s counter-terror operations, stating that New Delhi had dismantled terror infrastructure across the border in a way Pakistan never imagined.

“Terrorists had dared to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters, but our forces made them witness the true strength behind that sindoor,” PM Modi said, invoking emotion and national pride.

Turning his focus to domestic issues, the Prime Minister accused the TMC government of fostering a culture of lawlessness and corruption in West Bengal. He said the state was plagued by violence, insecurity, unemployment, and graft, and that the current regime’s “self-serving politics” had deprived the poor of their rightful benefits.

Highlighting the recent teacher recruitment scam, Modi remarked, “The youth and poor families have borne the worst impact of corruption. The scam has destroyed the future of thousands of aspiring teachers and left their families in despair. The education system in Bengal is crumbling, and even now, the TMC refuses to accept responsibility. Instead, they are blaming the courts.”

He also cited recent incidents in Murshidabad and Malda as examples of unchecked political violence. “In the name of appeasement, hooliganism has been unleashed. When government-aligned mobs burn down homes while the police watch silently, it exposes the cruelty of this administration,” he said.

Calling for change, Modi added, “Every issue in Bengal needs court intervention for resolution. People have lost faith in the state government. The cries of Bengal are loud and clear — ‘We don’t want a ruthless government anymore.’”
