India and China has agreed to resume the direct flights and border trade between the two countries.
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday, August 19, said that both sides agreed to resume direct flight connectivity between China and India at the earliest.
Both the nations will finalise the updated Air Services Agreement.
India and China also agreed to facilitate various visa services to the citizens, including tourist, businesses, media and visitors visas in both the countries.
The decision was taken during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s two-day visit to India on August 19 and 20 in New Delhi, where he held meetings with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the meeting of Jaishankar and Wang Yi, the two countries also decided to resume the direct trade through borders.
