The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has dropped the plasma therapy from its treatment guidelines for Covid-19. According to a trial conducted by ICMR on around 400 patients last year it was found that there are no immense benefit of the therapy so the national task force of ICMR have urged Doctors to drop the plasma therapy.
Not only in ICMR trials, plasma therapy was found ineffective in several international trial conducted in the last one year. Various study has said that the therapy has led to has often led to fraught attempts from desperate kin.
