Guwahati International Airport Ltd. announced the recognition, describing the terminal as a tribute to the region’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. The architectural design takes inspiration from the resilience of bamboo and the grace of the foxtail orchid, two symbolic elements that reflect the strength and elegance of Northeast India.
