Congress Leader Debabrata Saikia Hits Back at Akhil Gogoi

Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly Debabrata Saikia has strongly reacted to the recent statements made by Raijor Dal leader Akhil Gogoi.

Taking a sharp dig at Akhil Gogoi, Saikia said, “Akhil Gogoi climbed onto the Congress boat and managed to win from Sivasagar. Now he is speaking whatever he wants.”

He further remarked, “If Akhil Gogoi had made these statements before the elections, I would have called him brave. But now it seems he has come to the Assembly only to gain TRP by getting expelled.”

Saikia advised, “Just because one is in the opposition, one shouldn’t keep jumping and making unnecessary noise all the time.”

He also alleged that “constituencies were re-delimited on religious lines” during the last delimitation exercise.

Debabrata Saikia’s strong rebuttal comes amid ongoing political discourse following the Assam Legislative Assembly election results.
