‘Code Conquer Compete’ at Assam down town University draws 205 student Innovators and Gamers.
Assam down town University successfully hosted “Code Conquer Compete”, a one-day Hackathon Workshop and Gaming Competition held on 11th July 2025 at AdtU Campus. The high-energy event saw the enthusiastic participation of 205 students, who came together to showcase their talents in coding and competitive e-sports.
The event was inaugurated with a warm welcome address by Dr. Mahendra Kumar Modi, Executive Dean of Assam down town University, who highlighted the importance of encouraging students to engage in hands-on, tech-enabled experiences that blend innovation with collaboration.
The event brought together students from various disciplines, creating a platform for both tech-savvy coders and gaming enthusiasts to compete, learn, and network. The day culminated in a prize distribution ceremony graced by Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pranveer Singh, who congratulated the winners and applauded all participants for their energy, creativity, and teamwork.
In the Free Fire Gaming Competition, Team The Hustlers secured the first prize with members Suman Das, Jintu Basumatary, Partha Priya Bora, and Moyurim Boruah. The second prize went to Team X8 Falcons, comprising Anuj Deka, Niman Deka, Akash Kalita, and Binayak Devaraj, while Team Black Iron with Ayush Gupta, Prince Kashyap, Meghanka Deka, and Soruj Deka claimed the third spot.
In the BGMI Gaming Competition, Team Xceeding Mayhem emerged as the champions with members Thanglienlal Saikia, Haolun Joel Misao, Satgunhao Lhouvum, and Kamminhao Kipgen. The second prize was awarded to Team Xeng, including Rihan Ahmed, Dhiraj Dutta, Elming Stone, and Zean Aqeel, followed by Team Narcotics Esports in third place, represented by Akash Rajbongshi, Sankar Barman, Deepsun Ingti, and Kaushik Boro.
The event celebrated technological creativity and strategic gameplay but also reflected Assam down town University’s ongoing commitment to holistic student engagement, experiential learning, and digital excellence. “Code Conquer Compete” stood as a vibrant example of how the university continues to foster talent and innovation beyond the classroom.
