Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma mourned the death of former Nagaland and Assam Governor P.B. Acharya who breathed his last on Friday.
In a statement here today, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma said, “I mourn the death of former Governor of Nagaland and Assam P.B. Acharya who dedicated his life to the service of the people. A committed son of the country, with his demise the country has lost an able leader”. Late Acharya was a multi-faceted personality who had contributions in different spheres including academic. He was very intelligent and used to find amicable solutions to every problem. His death is a great loss for the state as well for the nation. Assam would forever remember his contributions as the Governor of the state.
The Chief Minister also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and followers and prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.
