Build environment-friendly structures: Assam Forest Minister to officials

Guwahati, June 15 (NKTV): Forest and Environment Minister, Government of Assam, Parimal Suklabaidya on Monday visited the Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park and reviewed the status of the National Park and ramping up of infrastructure to increase the inflow of tourists.

During his visit, the Forest Minister has directed officials of the Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park to emphasize on building environment-friendly infrastructure in the park. He directed officials to come up with eco-friendly structures for accommodation of tourists.

Divisional Forest Officer Sandip Kumar apprised the Minister that the 15 to 20 families who have encroached on the Park’s land have been served notice to vacate and they would move out soon.
