‘Bhupen Da Uncut’ screened at IFFI Goa, Showcases Rare Footage of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika
‘Bhupen Da Uncut’, a candid vintage documentary capturing rare moments of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika from 1999 in the United Kingdom, was screened at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. The screening took place on November 23 at 2:45 PM in Maquinez Palace-1, Panjim, followed by another screening on November 24 organised by Cinemala at Kala Academy.
IFFI described the documentary as “a rare and intimate glimpse into the life of musical legend Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, unveiling unpublished poems, candid moments and the profound spirit behind his enduring legacy.” Showcased under the Indian Panorama Special Package, the film stands as a heartfelt tribute to the cultural icon whose influence continues to inspire generations.
Directed by Bobbeeta Sharma, the documentary features camera work by Chinmoy Sharma and editing by Ravindra Badgaiyan. The presenter script is written by Jimoni Choudhury. Produced under the banner of Sangita Advertising, the film is backed by producers Chinmoy Sharma and Bobbeeta Sharma.
