Members of the Assam Society of Bangalore visited the family of late music icon Zubeen Garg in Guwahati on Friday to offer their heartfelt condolences.
The visiting delegation included Samarjeet Ghosh, Pranjal Medhi, Dhiraj Talukdar, Antara Baruah, and Pritish Pinaki Das, who met Garima Saikia Garg and Palme Borthakur at their residence.
For the Assam Society of Bangalore, Zubeen Garg was more than just an artist — he was family. The celebrated singer had performed for the society 10 times, beginning in 2007, with his last performance held in April 2025.

In a touching tribute, the society had dedicated its annual magazine “Shree” to Zubeen Garg this year.
As the Assam Society prepares to celebrate its Silver Jubilee Bihu in 2026, members recalled how Zubeen had been actively involved in guiding them for the milestone event.
“His absence has left a deep void, but we are determined to fulfill the dreams and vision he shared with us,” said a member of the visiting team.
