Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) issued Covid-19 guidelines to be followed by staff, customers and visitors in banks, insurance offices, ATMs and other financial institutions.
ATMs are to be sanitized frequently, including the screen and buttons. And only one person is allowed to enter the ATM room at a time.
Banks have been asked to keep sufficient cash in the ATMs at all times. Provisions should be made that only one customer is at the counter at any given time and others wait maintaining a distance of 6 feet.
Also currency notes are to be disinfected following scientific methods and protocols. Use of digital banking methods are to be encouraged.
