The closing ceremony of the 1st All Assam Mini Sub Junior successfully came to an end on Saturday. In the Boys section Nagaon has been emerged as Champions against Tinsukia. In the Girls section Naharkatia has been emerged as Champions against Mangaldai.
The closing ceremony was attended by Gitartha Goswami , Member Secretary,SLAC ; Satyabrat Gogoi, Asst Director,Director of Sports & Youth Welfare; Fahida Ahmed & Leena Daulla ,daughter of Late Zakir Ahmed,1st President of All Assam Kabaddi Association; Nijara Medhi.
The champions trophy along with Rs 10000 has been donated in memory of Late Zakir Ahmed,Founder President of AAKA in the year 1976. The Runners – up trophy has been donated in memory of Late Binoy Medhi,PI and an active member of Technical Committee, AAKA.
Now the identified talented budding talents will be provided two months rigorous coaching fully sponsored by Dept of Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt of Assam. Also Tejasvi Gehlot, President, Rajasthan State Kabaddi Association has sponsored one month free coaching to fifty (50) talented athletes totally free of cost at Rajasthan.
The tournament was organised by All Assam Kabaddi Association in association with State Level Advisory Committee and Guwahati Kabaddi Association.
