MoU Signing between Assam down town University and IIMCIP-TIC
Assam down town University (AdtU) and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park – Technology Innovation Centre (IIMCIP-TIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 13th June 2025, marking a significant step towards fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity building among students.
Mr. Devashish Sharma, Head of Operations, and Mr. Shekhar Pratim Chaliha, Associate, IIMCIP-TIC, were present for the MoU signing, joined by the Registrar , Dr. Ashim Barman and the Directorate of Research, AdtU. Mr. Sharma highlighted the crucial role of student-driven workshops in nurturing innovation and encouraging a culture of entrepreneurship under this collaborative initiative. He emphasized that such engagements would provide students with practical exposure and mentorship, thereby enhancing their readiness for real-world challenges.
Prof. Dharmeshwar Das, Director of the Directorate of Research, AdtU, formally welcomed the representatives from IIMCIP and expressed great optimism about the partnership. He shared that the MoU is expected to open new avenues for research, innovation, and startup support, and will significantly benefit the university’s student community.Members present in thie ceremony were Prof. M.K. Modi, Prof. S.Baruah, Dr. M. J. Borah, Dr. D. Sarma and other members from Research, Event and IT personnels.
This collaboration is a forward-looking step in AdtU’s mission to empower students through hands-on learning and strategic institutional alliances.
