Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the aircraft crash landing incident in Odisha. In a statement, Aviation Regulator said, an IndiaOne Air Cessna Grand C208B aircraft crash landed near Rourkela in Odisha yesterday. It said that the aircraft departed Bhubaneshwar in the afternoon and the crew declared a “MAYDAY” to Rourkela ATC and made a forced landing at 1:20 PM in an open area near Kansor.
DGCA said the forced landing site is around 15 to 20 km short of Rourkela Airport. It said that there were four passengers and two crew members on board the aircraft. All are safe and have been taken to a hospital.
