1st Srirampur Youth Conclave 2025 Empowers 100 Youth from 13 VCDCs in a Historic Grassroots Movement.
The 1st Srirampur Youth Conclave 2025, held at Sadbhavona Mandap, Haraputa, marked a historic and transformative moment for the region, as over 250 people came together to celebrate and advance youth leadership, civic engagement, and community-driven development.
Spearheaded by Shri Wilson Hasda, Executive Member (EM), BTC, this conclave is the culmination of the Sankalp Youth Campaign, which reached 13 Village Council Development Committees (VCDCs) across Srirampur. Over the past few weeks, 100 youth were selected through ground-level interactions and community dialogues, making this event a truly grassroots-led initiative.

A Platform for Dialogue, Aspiration & Commitment
The conclave witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, VCDC representatives, institutions, and organizations. It opened with the National Anthem and a welcome address by Md. Nazim Ahmed, Founder & Director of the Indian Awaz Foundation, who emphasized the importance of empowering rural youth:
“This is not just a program—it’s a movement to reimagine leadership from the grassroots. The energy of Srirampur’s youth today is the promise of a stronger tomorrow.”
Key speakers included:
● Dr. Rejina Marandi, Professor, Gossaigaon College, who inspired youth on finding purpose through education and critical thinking.
● Dr. Syed Sultan Kazi, Director, Council for Social & Digital Development (CSDD), who encouraged the youth to embrace technology for social transformation.
The most impactful segment of the event was an interactive Q&A session between the 100 Sankalp Youth and Shri Wilson Hasda, where issues of career awareness, access to education, employment, and civic responsibility were discussed. The youth shared their challenges and ideas, and Wilson Hasda offered real commitments and support mechanisms, reinforcing his dedication to long-term change.
“We are not just listening today—we are responding. This conclave is a commitment to support youth with knowledge, skills, and opportunity. Together, we build the future,” said Shri Wilson Hasda, addressing the gathering.
