The International Day of Happiness is celebrated throughout the world on 20 March. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on 28 June 2012. The International Day of Happiness aims to make people around the world realize the importance of happiness within their lives.

As the world celebrates International Day of Happiness today, UN has released a World Happiness Report where Finland has topped the list becoming the happiest country in the world to live in. Finland has awarded as the happiest country in the world for the sixth year in a row. Denmark has secured the second position.

Meanwhile, Iceland has secured the third position. Followed by Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Luxembourg and New Zealand. However, India has been ranked 126th in the World Happiness Report.
