US Forces Ready to Launch Major Strike on Iran Within 96 Hours, Report Says

American military forces in West Asia are reportedly prepared to launch a major operation against Iran within 96 hours of receiving President Donald Trump’s approval, while Tehran warns of retaliatory attacks if Washington launches a fresh assault.

US forces deployed in West Asia are reportedly ready to launch a major military operation against Iran within 96 hours if President Donald Trump gives the green light, CNN reported, citing two American officials.

Trump has indicated that the United States could launch another attack on Iran at any time, although he has also left the door open for negotiations. The US president has suggested that the conflict could end whenever he decides to bring it to a close.

According to the report, American forces have sufficient personnel and military resources positioned in the region to carry out a potential new operation.

The proposed military action would reportedly extend beyond strikes on Iranian missile launch sites and radar systems. According to the officials cited in the report, any new operation could be significantly broader in scope.

Since Trump suspended military operations earlier this year, Washington has largely focused on temporary targets. However, a fresh offensive could involve a more extensive campaign, the report suggested.

US officials are also reportedly planning with the understanding that Iranian forces have become more familiar with American military strategies and tactics.

However, Trump has yet to reach a final decision on what action to take after the midterm elections. The White House has not issued any official comment on the reported preparations.

Meanwhile, Iran has warned Washington against launching another attack, threatening retaliation against American forces stationed across the region.

Tehran has reportedly indicated that Iran and Yemen’s Houthi rebels could launch counterattacks against US military assets if Washington resumes its strikes.

On Monday, Iran held talks with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace in West Asia. The discussions came amid growing concerns over the possibility of renewed military confrontation.

US intelligence assessments have also reportedly highlighted concerns about potential retaliatory attacks against American forces in the region.

Despite the reported military preparations, Trump has not completely ruled out a diplomatic settlement with Iran. His administration faces a critical decision over whether to pursue negotiations or authorise a broader military campaign.

With US forces reportedly on standby and Tehran warning of retaliation, the situation in West Asia remains tense. However, no final decision to launch the reported operation has been confirmed, and the timing and scope of any potential military action remain uncertain.
