Tanvi Sharma’s Arangetram Leaves Guwahati Spellbound with Grace, Devotion and Artistic Brilliance.
In a heartwarming celebration of tradition, talent and youthful dedication, 13-year-old Tanvi Sharma made a remarkable debut with her Arangetram on Saturday evening at the Sri Sri Madhavdeb International Auditorium, Kalakshetra, Panjabari. The event marked a significant milestone in her Bharatanatyam journey, as Tanvi performed with poise, precision and soul, earning heartfelt appreciation from an enthralled audience.
Presented under the guidance of her guru, Smt. Namrata Tiwari Talukdar, the performance beautifully showcased Tanvi’s years of disciplined training and deep connection with the art form. From intricate footwork to expressive abhinaya, each piece reflected the dancer’s maturity and artistic sincerity.
“Tanvi is a student who doesn’t just learn the steps; she absorbs the spirit of Bharatanatyam. Watching her evolve into such a soulful performer fills me with pride and joy,” said, Smt. Namrata Tiwari Talukdar, visibly moved after the performance.
Tanvi, a Class IX student at DPS Khanapara, shared her gratitude on the occasion. “This Arangetram is a reflection of everything my guru has taught me, and everything I love about dance. I feel humbled and inspired to continue this journey with even more devotion,” she said.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries including Shri Bipul Das, as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Moromi Medhi, Smt. Moloya Goswami, Smt. Anita Sharma, Smt. Anjana Moyee Saikia, and Smt. Deeplina Deka, among others, who lauded Tanvi’s talent and her ability to blend classical discipline with expressive artistry.
Notably, Tanvi has had the honour of performing at several prestigious cultural events, including the Community Cultural Program organised by North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) under Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. Her commitment to both classical and contemporary forms of expression sets her apart as a well rounded young artist.
