Shubman Gill Creates History; Becomes First Cricketer From Asia To score 700 runs in a Test series played in SENA
Indian captain Shubman Gill entered his name in the record books on Sunday (July 27) by becoming the first cricketer from Asia to score 700 runs in a Test series played in England. Before him the record of scoring the most runs in a Test series played in England was in the name of Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf. During the Pakistan tour of England in 2006, Yousuf played four matches and scored 631 runs.
Gill had broken Yousuf’s record on Saturday itself when he reached the 13-run mark during the second session of the day’s play.
