Resolution passed against Centre’s Agnipath scheme in Punjab
After the Agnipath scheme waved roaring protests across the country. The Punjab Assembly has now passed a resolution against the Centre’s defense recruitment scheme. Passing the resolution Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann said that the Agnipath scheme is likely to create dissatisfaction among the youths who are looking to serve the Indian Army for a lifetime.
The resolution was moved in the House during the budget session. According to the resolution, the House recommends to the state government take up the matter with the Union government in order to roll back the Agnipath scheme immediately.
