Rajya Sabha bids farewell to nominated member Ranjan Gogoi
The Rajya Sabha today bid farewell to nominated Member Ranjan Gogoi, who completed his term in the Upper House today. When the House met at 11 AM, Chairman C P Radhakrishnan announced it. He said the former Chief Justice of India, Gogoi, began his association with the House in March 2020 following his nomination by the President of India.
Radhakrishnan said, as a distinguished Jurist, Gogoi brought unparalleled legal acumen and experience to the deliberations of the Rajya Sabha. He said Gogoi’s interventions in the Rajya Sabha reflected his deep understanding of the legislative process and public interest.
The Rajya Sabha Chairman wished that Gogoi would continue to contribute to the nation in different capacities with the same dedication, integrity and spirit of service he has exemplified throughout his illustrious career.
