Railway to operate special train between Guwahati-Bangalore to clear extra rush

Northeast Frontier Railway will be running one weekly summer special train between Guwahati and Yesvantpur (Bangalore) to clear extra rush of passengers. The train will run with fully reserved accommodation for convenience of the passengers.

Train No. 06577 Yeswantpur-Guwahati Special train will run from 23rd April to 25th June, leaving Yesvantpur at 10 pm today to reach Guwahati at 4 am on Monday.

In the return direction, Train No. 06578 Guwahati-Yesvantpur Special train will run from 26th April to 28th June, leaving Guwahati at 7:35 pm on Monday to reach Yesvantpur at 01:30 am on Thursday.

The train will run via New Bongaigaon, Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri Jn, Rampurhat, Bhubaneswar, Vishakapatnam, Secunderabad etc. The train will have general second class, sleeper class, AC-3 tier and AC-2 tier accommodations for convenience of passengers.

Given the Covid-19 crisis, passengers are asked to travel with minimum luggage and wear face covers/masks at the stations and trains during the travel. Passengers should observe social distancing both at the station and on trains. All passengers are to download and use the Aarogya Setu application before undertaking the journey. On arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state.
Violators will be fined as per Covid-19 protocols.
