Chief Minister Issues Important Directives to Ministers on Constituency Visits; Local MLAs Must Be Informed in Advance

9

The Chief Minister has issued an important advisory to all Ministers, emphasising the need to maintain proper coordination with local Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) during official visits and engagements across constituencies.

It has been observed that during certain field visits undertaken by Ministers, the concerned MLAs representing the respective constituencies are not always informed or involved. Taking note of the matter, Ministers have been advised to ensure that local MLAs are informed in advance about their visits to the respective constituencies.

The advisory further states that whenever Ministers attend public programmes or official functions, the concerned MLAs should also be invited to participate in the events.

Even in cases of departmental meetings or official review meetings where the presence of MLAs is not necessary, the concerned legislators should be courteously informed in advance.

The initiative aims to strengthen coordination between the Government and elected representatives and ensure smoother conduct of official engagements.

The move is also expected to promote better communication and cooperation between Ministers and local legislators, particularly in matters concerning constituency-level activities and development-related programmes.
