Plane mishap kills 17 in Philippines

Guwahati, July 4 (NKTV): Around 17 people died after a Philippines Air Force plane carrying troops crashed during landing in the southern part of the country. The aircraft Lockheed C-130 had crashed at Patikul in Sulu province.

According to a statement released by the defence ministry of Philippines “40 wounded and injured were rescued and 17 bodies have been recovered. Rescue and recovery is ongoing.” They further also added that 92 people were on board.

However, the Philippines government has denied any attack on the plane and initial reports suggest that it was an accident. However, the crash investigation has begun and rescue operations were also underway.
