Guwahati, August 28 (NKTV):In a historic feat over 1 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in India on Friday making it a new record in single-day vaccinations in the country.
Taking to twitter PM Modi tweeted “Record vaccination numbers today! Crossing 1 crore is a momentous feat. Kudos to those getting vaccinated and those making the vaccination drive a success.”
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also lauded the efforts of healthcare workers who made this feat achievable. Assam CM also took to twitter and wrote “Under the guidance of Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji & Hon Union Health Minister @mansukhmandviya ji, India crossed another milestone in its fight against #COVID when 1 cr people were vaccinated on a single day today. I commend all healthcare workers who made this possible.”
Meanwhile, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage has also crossed 62 crore on Friday.
