42

In tennis, Novak Djokovic withdrew from the 2025 ATP Finals just an hour after winning the ATP 250 Athens title, citing a shoulder injury. The withdrawal ends his season and marks the second consecutive year he’ll miss the Tour Finals.

Djokovic defeated Lorenzo Musetti 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in Athens, claiming his 101st career title and a men’s record 72nd hard-court title, surpassing Roger Federer.

Following his withdrawal, Musetti was confirmed by the ATP as Djokovic’s replacement in the Nitto ATP Finals. This will be Musetti’s first appearance at the year-end tournament after an impressive 2025 season featuring two finals, including Monte Carlo, and multiple semifinal runs. He will open against Carlos Alcaraz.
