Guwahati, July 22 (NKTV): Newly formed armed outfit NLFB’s Chief M Batha today surrendered at the Lalpani Police Outpost in Udalguri district. Senior officials of the Assam Police as well NIA were present during the surrender process.
Minister Pijush Hazarika was also present along with Jayanta Malla Baruah.
“Further peace dawns in BTR with the homecoming of NFLB top cadres to mainstream. A great leap forward towards a peaceful Assam” Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
Around 20 militants laid down arms.
