Nilav Goswami memorial football meet begins at Judges’ Field on 21st November 2025
Guwahati, Nov 22: The first Nilav Goswami Under-17 Invitation Football Tournament organised by Gauhati Town Club (GTC) began at Judges’ Field in Guwahati on Friday with a brief opening ceremony attended by officials from Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) and GTC. Munin Nobis, Chief Executive Officer of GSA, graced the event as the chief guest. Nasir Gul Khan, Sports Secretary of Cricket GSA, along with GTC’s working president Mukul Gogoi, vice presidents Tanmay Mahanta, Bibekananda Das and Bulbul Choudhury, and officials Sajjad Zaheer Hussain and Satya Dev Goswami were also present.
Eight teams are taking part in the tournament. The final is scheduled for November 23.

Gauhati Town Club edged past Narengi Royal FC 1-0. PJP Football Academy went down 3-0 to Garchuk FC. Greenfield FC registered a 3-1 win over Hawk FC.
