Khel Maharan 3.0 to Begin on November 7, Registration Opens Across Assam
Good news for sports enthusiasts in Assam! The third edition of Khel Maharan, the state government’s flagship grassroots sports initiative, is set to begin on November 7, providing young athletes another opportunity to showcase their talent.
Following two successful editions, Khel Maharan 3.0 aims to identify and nurture sporting talent from village-level playgrounds to state-level competitions. The initiative seeks to encourage greater participation in sports and empower the youth through athletic activities.
Registration for the upcoming edition has already begun, with the Goalpara district administration urging sportspersons to register and participate in the competitions.
The previous editions witnessed massive participation from across Assam, with several sporting disciplines, including athletics, football, volleyball, kabaddi, swimming, chess and cycling, featuring in the initiative.
Khel Maharan is organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Assam, to promote grassroots sports and provide aspiring athletes with a platform to develop their skills and pursue sporting opportunities.
