Flying with IAF Feels Like Home, Say European Air Force Officials
Senior German and French Air Force officials have praised their experience of flying alongside the Indian Air Force (IAF) during the multinational exercise Tarang Shakti-2026 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, saying shared procedures and years of joint training made operations feel just like home.
German Air Force Lieutenant General Gunter Katz and French Armed Forces Inspector General General Stephane Groen highlighted the similarities in operational procedures between India and Europe. They also noted that bilateral exercises had played a key role in ensuring smooth coordination among participating nations.
Exercise Director Air Vice Marshal Raj Thakur said participating countries showed keen interest in Operation Sindoor, with the IAF’s briefing on the operation receiving a positive response.
The second edition of Tarang Shakti brought together the IAF and air forces from seven countries to strengthen operational cooperation and facilitate the exchange of professional expertise.
